AG Northeast picks new traceability partner
AG Northeast selects ReposiTrak as its traceability partner to enhance supply chain transparency and ensure regulatory compliance for independent grocers.

Associated Grocers Northeast selected ReposiTrak to develop its enterprise traceability program. The initiative will collect, validate, and manage supplier traceability data to support regulatory readiness and strengthen supply chain transparency across its supplier community.
Cooperative selects established network for regulatory compliance
The retailer-owned wholesale cooperative, serving independent grocers across the Northeast, will implement ReposiTrak’s Traceability Network to collect, validate, and manage supplier traceability data. The program is designed to help AG Northeast and its suppliers exchange traceability records in a secure, scalable environment while reducing operational friction for the cooperative and its trading partners.
Joe Conley, vice president of merchandising and procurement at Associated Grocers Northeast, stated the cooperative sought more than a technology vendor. “We were looking for more than just a technology provider; we needed a partner that could help us successfully implement traceability across our supplier network,” he said. “ReposiTrak’s established network, Touchless Traceability solution and proven ability to onboard suppliers efficiently gave us confidence they could deliver.”
ReposiTrak’s Touchless Traceability links supplier-provided traceability records with distribution center product movement data to create required traceability events as product moves through the facility. The approach is designed to support FSMA 204 readiness while avoiding the labor, cost and operational disruption associated with manual case-level scanning.
Supplier onboarding is a critical component of traceability execution. ReposiTrak works directly with suppliers to explain requirements, establish connections, map data, provide training and resolve data issues. Suppliers with limited technical capabilities receive support from the company’s U.S.-based onboarding and customer success teams.
Randy Fields, chairman and CEO of ReposiTrak, stressed that successful traceability depends on execution. “Traceability does not succeed because a platform exists. It succeeds when suppliers are onboarded, data is validated and records are moving at scale,” he said. “Associated Grocers Northeast understands that execution matters.”
