Tops Grocer for Buffalo Wing Festival
Tops Friendly Markets named official grocer for Buffalo Wing Festival, expecting 25,000 attendees to consume 12 tons of wings.
Tops Friendly Markets has been named the official grocer of the 25th National Buffalo Wing Festival, which will take place on August 29 and 30 at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, New York. The festival is expected to attract over 25,000 attendees who will consume around 12 tons of wings over the two days.
The event typically takes place on Labor Day weekend, but due to the Buffalo Bisons Minor League Baseball team’s schedule, the festival dates were moved up. Tops Friendly Markets is running a sweepstakes with participating products from brands like Frank’s, French’s, and Lawry’s to send one winner to the judging table.
The grand prize, billed as “Frank’s RedHot for Life,” includes $1,500 in Tops gift cards, two festival admissions, and a seat as an official Best of Show judge during Sunday’s competition. Entries for the sweepstakes can be submitted from August 9 to August 22 on the Tops Markets website or by mail, with no purchase necessary.
Shoppers can earn bonus entries by buying participating products at participating Tops stores. The sweepstakes is open to residents of New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont who are 18 years or older.

Tops operates 152 grocery stores in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, employing over 14,000 associates, making it the largest private, for-profit employer in western New York. They provide a merchandising opportunity for the grocery store chain across condiments, seasonings, cheese, and poultry during the late-August period leading up to Labor Day grilling and the start of football season.
With Tops Friendly Markets as the official grocer, the event is sure to be a success, and the winner of the sweepstakes will have a unique experience judging the best wings in the world.
