World Fuel Services expanded its footprint in the Midwest by acquiring approximately 33 dealer contracts from CF Altitude.

World Fuel Services has acquired approximately 33 branded dealer contracts in the Midwest from CF Altitude, a World Fuel spokesperson confirmed to C-Store Dive. The locations are scattered across the greater St. Louis metropolitan area in Missouri and Illinois. This deal expands the Miami-based company’s footprint in the region, strengthening its distribution network and providing continuity for independent retailers.

Connections to Colorado Retailer Alta Convenience

CF Altitude was previously identified as the parent company of Colorado-based retailer Alta Convenience. The announcement notes that the dealer contracts acquired by World Fuel do not appear to be for any of Alta Convenience’s current locations, which are spread across Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. A May 2026 SEC filing listed CF Altitude as being associated with Phillips 66.

The fuel brands associated with the 33 contracts were not specified, and the spokesperson declined to comment on any connection between the deal and Alta. In a statement, the official said the locations currently operate under established fuel brands and the company is focused on ensuring a seamless transition.

“We will work closely with individual owners over time to provide the support that best fits their businesses and local markets,” the spokesperson said.

Specifics regarding the fuel brands associated with the 33 newly acquired contracts remain undisclosed, as the spokesperson refused to elaborate on the details. Representatives from CF Altitude and Alta Convenience did not respond to inquiries regarding the transaction or the companies’ current relationship by press time. Alta Convenience’s website indicates its presence extends to over 100 locations, firmly establishing its footprint in the Rocky Mountain region rather than the Midwest.

Expanding the U.S. Retail Network

World Fuel offers a broad portfolio of major oil brands, fuel delivery, and other services to more than 3,000 independent convenience retailers and truck stop owners across the U.S. Bob Kenyon, senior vice president of retail, wholesale and supply chain, said the deal with CF Altitude strengthens the firm’s distribution network in the Midwest.

“Combined with our extensive supply network and longstanding relationships across all major fuel branding programs, we are ideally situated to provide customers with continuity, flexibility, and trusted support,” Kenyon said.
