Furniture Village, the UK’s largest family-owned furniture retailer, has won Retail Family Business of the Year at the 2026 Family Business of the Year Awards. The company was recognized for its innovative retail approach, customer service, and strong growth performance.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at The Geographical Society in London. Jennifer Leeder, Head of Family Business at Birketts, one of the event’s sponsors, presented the accolade.
This marks the fourth time Furniture Village has taken home the retail category award. The company previously won in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
Businesses were judged on charitable activities, family values, innovation, and how much involvement family members have in daily operations. Furniture Village was recognized for its philanthropic work, customer service, and continued scaling of its operations.

Charlie Harrison, managing director at Furniture Village, said the award was a proud moment for the company. “As a family-owned business, we have always believed that sustainable success comes from staying true to our values, investing in our people and delivering a fantastic shopping experience for our customers,” he said. “This award belongs to the whole Furniture Village family.”
